The All-Seeing Demiurge - 21 February 2028
My social media feeds have started sending me tons of stuff about memory loss. The big eye in the sky knows how old I am and that likely, (true) I'm sensitive to the onset of memory loss. There are any number of remedies being pushed on me... from 40Mz light stimulation to pills pushed by Steve Martin and Samuel Jackson.
Actually, I like this kind of targeted advertising. A month ago, I was surfing thru websites about holsters. The next day my Facebook fed me a ton of stuff on firearms without my even soliciting it. Amazing! How do they know I am interested in firearms?
But are there downsides to the remarkable ability of the tech bros (soon the government?) to zero in on your innermost anxieties?
Let's face it. You're going to have to go completely off grid... completely... to avoid having Big Brother eying your daily life. Digital currency is coming. Catherine Austin Fitts is encouraging us to start using cash to stave off the all-seeing demiurge. I'm not sure that's going to be possible. For some, maybe it is. I have a cousin... she and her husband are very successful home schoolers... in their retirement, they've moved to a remote US location and are living off grid. Many who have thought such types are kooks are going to envy the off gridders' situation down the road.
I'm reminded of the "Rollback Machine" in Michael Grumley's novel, "Rollback." The rollback machine is an advanced supercomputer system that stitches together billions of public photos/videos to reconstruct past events with near omniscient detail. Knowing what we know about the potential capacity of AI, a rollback machine is actually conceivable in my threatened, eighty-year-old mind. Fifty years ago, the function of an all-knowing rollback machine could only be attributed to God. Is man becoming God? He's starting to use tools formerly attributed to God. What is the future of human consciousness when man becomes God?
