Putin in the Catbird Seat (5) - Life's a Bitch

Putin and Trump are supposed to meet in Alaska on Friday. Zelensky, not invited, wants to come. Trump waivers. Putin says, "You bring Zelensky, then I bring Medvedev." And, despite Witkoff's hurried visit to the Kremlin last week, the skids for a settlement haven't been greased. Poor Donald. Life's a bitch. This is not his war... it's Autopen's. But time has a way of erasing memory and creating new realities. DJT is on his way to owning this fiasco.

There is only one way Trump gets out of this jam and that is to recognize the war is won by Russia. Trump needs to agree to Putin's hard earned, by the way, territorial demands. Zelensky needs to be ushered to a Zurich town house, and a new - neutral - Ukraine, minus its Russian dominated eastern regions, needs to be certified. The "new Ukraine" must be established under a US/NATO guarantee that Ukraine will not be a NATO nation.

Other Trump/Putin agreement imperatives:

A new Ukraine security agreement from US/NATO. Putin will understand this.
West to lift financial sanctions on Russia.
Accomplish US/Russia trade agreement.
Accomplish US/Russia cultural exchanges
Strengthen US/Russia space exchange.
Detune threatening US/NATO initiatives in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Initiate formal talks on intermediate/hypersonic missile placement.
Trump reaffirms NATO commitment to its members.

An agreement along the lines of the above has the benefits of deescalating WWIII tensions, undermining growing BRICs coalescence, lowering EU energy costs with a restoration of Russian natural gas shipments, and restoring essential positive relations with India. Russian kinetic threat to Western Europe is, of course, a head fake put forward by arms manufacturers and their backers.
