What once was a symbol of inclusiveness and tolerance has morphed into an emblem of militant left-wing politics. Most major corporations and sports institutions, not wanting to be embroiled in politics, have dropped their support of Pride events. Is Park City misreading the national zeitgeist by identifying with what is now a left-wing political movement?

Every year LSDM Walkers bet on the date when the snow will be gone. TWO3 best guess is 08 July. Kat and Mwah (sic) shrugged and agreed. So, not a real bet this year.

Lottsa (sic) reports of turkeys roaming around the town. We have had a rafter of turkeys in Iron Canyon through the winter. We haven't seen turkeys in town in the twenty-five years we have lived in Park City until this year. Have spotted many turkey rafters out in the county... Chalk Creek and Rockport. The solitary turkey here as apparently gotten separated from her friends.

I attended a dinner on 13 June 2025 hosted by Marlo Oaks where Marlo's guest was Catherine Austin Fitts, former investment banker and now free market activist.

Marlo and Catherine join as allies to address a growing concern that such initiatives as digitization of the financial system and national capital accounting pose growing risks to individual freedom. Catherine was recently on Tucker Carlson

Catherine Fitts: Bankers vs. the West, Secret Underground Bases, and the Oncoming Extinction Event

where she warned that increasing centralization of the financial system enables greater control over individuals' financial transactions and personal autonomy. Marlo, a nationally known figure credited with playing a major role in forcing the retreat of ESG investing, *** is now concerned that, among others, the rising specter of national capital accounting involves attempts to impose environmental regulations through financial markets, circumventing legislative oversight. Oaks believes these initiatives push ideological agendas, such as climate change mitigation without democratic accountability.

I am much appreciative to Marlo for his including me in this dinner discussion. I am impelled to dig deeper to better understand the concerns raised by Catherine and Marlo. I hope to ask them both to speak at LSDM (Marlo for the third time) to apprise LSDM ROMEOs of their concerns.

***In 2022 Marlo famously kept Larry Fink cooling his heels in his office reception area while he finished a phone call.

ARMY 250 PARADE, Washington, D.C.
I love military parades. They are a very important reminder to the citizenry that our liberty does not come without periodic bloodshed and sacrifice. Today's parade in Washington, D. C. is a moving tribute to the US Army, an organization to which all Americans are greatly indebted. Organizations doing the fighting, protecting our liberty, deserve recognition and what better way to accomplish this than putting on a parade showcasing the troops and the equipment. Parades honoring the nations fighters are a long-standing tradition in countries around the world. Thank you, President Trump, for reviving this long standing, but since lost, tradition. I wish I could be in DC in person for today's parade.
I have attended other military parades in person... just not US military parades. Scroll.

I was present, standing near the Palais de Chaillot, overlooking the Champs Elysee, at the Bastille Day military parade in Paris in 1965. I saw General Charles de Gaulle ride by, from my left to my right, just as shown in the image, in an open convertible gripping a stationary bar in front for stability. The image is a file image, but it is exactly what I saw. Somewhere, buried in my own records, I have my own image of this scene.

It pains me that many Americans today, some true subversives and the rest useful idiots, will not see the Army 250 Parade as they chose to attend violent demonstrations orchestrated by internal forces that seek to undermine the bedrock principles that have given rise to, unprecedented in all world history, two hundred fifty years of liberty.
