Picto Diary - 12 July 2015 - Gallipoli in Park City?

While walking,I looked over to my left and saw the three ridges of the Anzac landing on Gallipoli on 25 April 1915.
There is a parallel if you squint and imagine the soccer field as a sea.

Addendum:
Steve, please give Phil my best. I knew him in New York in the 80s--probably have not seen him for 30 years. I used to bring a friend from East Germany to work on our old furniture and at one point Phil considered using him as well.
I was in Varna for a couple of days about 15 years ago. It was winter and a pretty lonesome place. Apparently in the summer the coastal resorts are in full swing. I was in London and had to stay over for a weekend. On a lark I booked a cheap flight to Varna for the weekend with some Bulgarian airline. In those days it was still the old Communist system but seemed to be run by the Bulgarian Mafia. The Airline went bankrupt the next day and I couldn't get out of Varna. I had to take a bus for some hours to Sophia where I stayed overnight in a very nice German hotel before flying back to London the next day. Once in Varna was enough for me.
Have a great trip,
