I like the way they think. 500-mile round trip drive just to have lunch at the Star Hotel Restaurant.
It's my presumption that they didn't have time to visit the establishments across the street.

No other dogs at the park, so, Freddie figures it's not worth the trouble to follow me to the other end of the park. I use the situation to capture an interesting image of seasonal change. Image shows a portion of Canyons section of Park City Mountain Resort.

Having seen my prior Picto Diary with one entry commenting on the passing of Robert Redford, my sister-in-law, 'Na send this image. Looks like it was captured sometime in the '80's.

November 1, 1932 - September 23, 2025
San Marcos, Texas - John Brose, age 92, passed away in his sleep on September 23 at Sage Springs assisted-living in San Marcos, Texas. He had been battling pancreatic cancer since February.
John was born in Kansas City, Kansas, but was raised from the age of two in Wichita. He attended the University of Kansas where he earned a degree in Petroleum engineering. At KU he met the love of his life, Sharon Parker.
After graduation, he served in the US Air Force. He completed his pilot training flying F-86's, a highlight of his life.
John went on to build a successful career primarily with Shell Oil and Williams. As he advanced through the ranks, he and his family were transferred to cities in Texas, California, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
John loved all sports especially baseball. He pitched and played first base in high school and at KU. His homes in Park City and later Midway,Utah, gave him ample opportunity to ski and golf his heart out. He skied until age 86 and golfed until his cancer diagnosis.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon, his daughter, Susan (Jon) McKeon of Tucson and his two sons, Tom (Cheryl) of San Marcos, and Greg (Lucy) of Evanston, Wyoming. Grandchildren: Mike (Nikki) Mckeon, Katie Mckeon, KatieBeth (Mark) Squyres, Sarah (Reagen) Squyres, Dan Brose, John Brose, and Margot (Brian) Maxwell.
Ellie Mckeon is his beloved great granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
