La Société Deux Magots (LSDM) is a non-partisan ROMEO (retired old men eating out) group which meets daily, at 7:00 AM at Wasatch Bagel in Park City, UT. LSDM members are the rightful intellectual heirs of a group of authors and artists (Hemingway, Joyce, Sartre, Picasso, Camus, de Beauvoir) who met daily at Cafe Deux Magots, in Paris, France in the 1930's. http://www.LSDM-Parkcity.com

Andy Beerman, Candidate for park City Council, was today's guest of La Societe Deux Magots (LSDM). Andy is the current president of the Historic Park City Alliance and has been a regular participant at City Council meetings. 12 August 2011.
Andy's vision for the Historic District.... Main Street... is to enhance its attractiveness as a destination. This can be accomplished, he believes, by adding a plaza, by having numerous unscheduled "happenings," ie. jugglers, musicians etc. He believes that the outdoor eating structures added during summers by many of the restaurant are a favorable development in moving toward the vision he sees for Main Street.
Dick Peek, city councilman (appointed), running for election in November, met with La Societe Deux Magots ( LSDM) at Wasatch Bagel to discuss his reasons for seeking a Park City Council seat. 31 August 2011
Dick noted that it is important that the EPA be successfully petitioned to have a local "soil ordinance protection zone" for Park City. Developments such as Bonanza Park will find it difficult to move forward if local contaminated (mine tailings) soil must be moved out of state.

Warehouse Man holds bag of cookies brought to La Society Deux Magots (LSDM) by Liza Simpson. Warehouse Man, in a blatant demand for tribute to buy votes, suggested that Liza should bring cookies on her next visit. Today, she delivered on the cookie request. Other candidates, Dick Peek and Anne Bransford, have recently delivered cookie bribes to LSDM. Only candidate Andy Beerman has failed to make a payoff to LSDM. 14 September 2011.
La Societe Deux Magots had a pretty big group (11) today. Noteworthy was that three members showed up with friends... Friendship can be illusory or ephemeral. It was comforting today to see, talking to our visitors today, that friendship can also be lasting. 18 September 2011.
Glenn Wright, Chairman of the Democratic Party in Summit County stopped by Wasatch Bagel for a meeting. After his meeting he stopped by to talk to the LSDM walker stragglers. 19 September 2011.
Utah has a reputation of being one of the worst state offenders when it comes to overt gerrymandering. Glen urges Park City citizens to inform themselves about the issue and make their position known to the state legislature.
