Isle of Man TT: The Fastest Lap - 12 December 2025

I was at the Isle of Man TT circa 2010. A few of us rented motorcycles in Bournemouth, rode them up to Liverpool, and ferried over to Douglas to see the TT. We stayed in a pub on the Sulby Straight but worked our way around the Mountain Course during the day, so we saw the race from different aspects. Standing in front of our pub, just off the road, we watched bikes go by at 200 mph plus. There are one or two deaths at this race and the prelims every year. Irish and British motorcycle authorities have tried over the years to shut the race down, but Isle of Man sovereignty prevents them from doing so. An amazing experience.
