Picto Diary - 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 January 2021 - Wizard or Tycoon?

Started skiing down Wizard. It seemed much to long. To compound the senior moment, didn't recognize the run as Tycoon until near the bottom.

Picto Diary - 24, 25 January 2021 -First Annual LSDM Ma and Pa Ski Weekend

I have always loved the obscure. Part of my contrarian nature. I can enjoy a motorcycle ride though Chalk Creek/Yellow Creek to Evanston as much as a walk through the Sistine Chapel; or, an off season Amtrak ride to Glenwood Springs with the LSDM Train Group as much as a dinner cruise on the Bosphorous. Don't get me wrong. I like that other stuff, but the obscure holds a special place in my psyche. The LSDM Ma and Pa ski tour fits in nicely with the obscure ethos.

Skied hyper steep Magnet in falling snow. Up until now I would only ski Magnet when the sun is out. Breakthroughs always feel good at this stage of life.

Living in a van, down by the... err.... uh.... cliffs.

Great four day ski trip. Found new hills... new ski experiences, augmented by outstanding snow, above par gastronomy, and genial companionship in the New Hampshire Cousins.

Empire Lodge. Mid AM coffee break... Vastly improved experience over prior years! Table service, no inconvenient buffet lines. No crowds. Keep up the good work Deer Valley! From strength to strength!
